Reading For A Friend

I'm halfway through reading a friends manuscript. It is fantastic, which is highlighted by the fact that I don't usually like the genre she's written and yet I can't put it down.

I've only read the work of a couple of select friends and I have to say it is a great way to hone your own skills. There's something about finding strong and weak points in a raw work that gets the gears working.
